Prinz Eugen Gau :

Before the war III. Reich against the in theeses days existing Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Germans threatened the Hungarians that if they did not participate in that war, the Volksdeutsche would declare a German state at the territory of Bačka, Banat and eastern Syrmia all the way to Belgrade. That German state was supposed to be connected with a corridor that would go partly around the Danube river to the territory of III. Reich, that is, to the Slovenian Prekomurje, which was then part of III. Reich.

After the proclamation of the Independent State of Croatia April 10, 1941 this plans didn´t stop and the Volksdeutsche planed the proclamation of that state at the birthday of Adolf Hitler at April 20, 1941. They had prepared 3 stamps with overprints on hungarian stamps, but the III. Reich didn´t support this plans, because they don´t want to have problems with the new state, the Independent State of Croatia and also not with Hungary.

The Hungarians were afraid of a possible realisation of such a exteritorial german territory and annexed first the Bačka at the April 11, 1941 and some days later Međimurije of the Independent State of Croatia at the April 16, 1941 so that a corridor between a possible "Prince Eugen Gau" and the III. Reich couldn´t be realized without a war between the Allies Hungary and the III. Reich.

”Bosniaks” are Croats!

Regardless of the fact that the Croatian Muslims from Bosnia only reinvented themselves as a separate nation in 1991, they remain genetically Croats. This is not only evidenced by the largest genetic institute in Vancouver (Canada) but also by countless statements from Croatian Muslims from Bosnia over the past centuries.

The truth about the victims :

Enough of the Serbian lies: before World War II and after World War II, there was a census in the Serbian-dominated Kingdom of Yugoslavia and in the Serbian-dominated communist Yugoslavia, which showed 1,024,000 more Serbs and
1,230,000 fewer Croats, as well as 140,000 fewer Germans.

Issues of the german Veteran Association “Handschar” (Handžar) : Book.

In the book “Muslime in der Waffen-SS” by Zvonimir Bernwald, a member of the 13th Handschar Division, he writes as a contemporary witness about the composition of the division that there were 20% Germans and 80% Croats in the division, of which 40% were Catholic Croats and 40% were Muslim Croats (since 1991 they have called themselves "Bosniaks").

This proves the often repeated false claim from George Lepre's book "Divisionsgeschichte der 13. SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs- Division "Handschar" that it was a "purely Muslim" division. This claim cannot be true when you consider the 20% of Germans there, who mostly came from the Independent State of Croatia and were mostly Catholic. Only members of the division who came to the division from the Third Reich also made up a small proportion as Protestant Christians.

All other authors who dealt with the subject of the Handschar Division simply copied from George Lepre without further looking into the actual number.

Due to interstate regulations and laws between the Third Reich and the Independent State of Croatia, the Germans from the Independent State of Croatia not only had German citizenship. Since they were a recognized national minority in the Independent State of Croatia, they also automatically had Croatian citizenship!

Another lie that so-called Bosniaks like to repeat is the name "Bosnian SS Division" or similar inventions.

The official names of the Handschar Division were :

- Kroatische SS-Freiwilligen-Division (March 1943 - July 1943)

- Kroatische SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Division (July 1943 - October 1943)

- SS-Freiwilligen-Bosnien-Herzegowina-Gebirgs-Division (Kroatien) (October 1943)

- 13. SS-Freiwilligen-Bosnien-Herzegowina-Gebirgs-Division (Kroatien) (October 1943 - March 1944)

- 13. Waffen-Gebirgs-Division der SS Handschar (kroatische Nr. 1) (March 1944 - March 1945)

Isn't it surprising that George Lepre names his book "Divisionsgeschichte der 13. SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs- Division "Handschar"” after what the division was NEVER called?

And such a book is proof for the Bosniaks that it was a "purely Muslim" division?

None of the foreign SS divisions had a name that was related to the country they came from, with the exception of the 23. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division „Nederland“ (niederländische Nr. 1) and the 34. SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division „Landstorm Nederland“. Only in these cases was there an immediate connection to the country they came from : the Netherlands.

All other foreign SS Divisions were named for example after historical figures (for example 21. Waffen-Gebirgs-Division der SS „Skanderbeg“ (albanische Nr. 1) or
25. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS „Hunyadi“ (ungarische Nr. 1))  or after historical regions (for example : 27. SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division „Langemarck“ (flämische Nr. 1),
28. SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadierdivision Wallonien (wallonische Nr. 1) or 33. Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS „Charlemagne“.

Let us return to the "Handschar" :

The division was renamed five times, and only twice did it have the designation "Bosnia-Herzegowina" in its name, but all five times it had "kroatische (croatian)" or "Kroatien (Croatia)" in the name!

So dear “Bosniaks”, don´t lie that this was a “bosnian” Division!
Your nation was invented in 1991! Therefore you call yourselfs Croats!

This is also what your genetics still proves today! [ READ MORE ]

It is almost impossible to distinguish Christians from Muslims in pictures showing members of the Handschar Division, as Christians also wore fez, and Muslims wore also field caps.

However, pictures showing the swearing-in of soldiers clearly show who is a Christian and who is a Muslim, as the Muslims hold their hands over their hearts during the swearing-in and the Christians - as is tradition in the German army - hold three fingers in the air.

You can see at the picture that more than the half of the Handschar soldiers in the first row hold three fingers in the air and so they are Christians!

Let us look at the text of swearing-in ceremony of the Handschar division :

Translation :

"I swear loyalty and bravery to the Führer, Adolf Hitler, as Supreme Commander of the German Wehrmacht.

I swear obedience to the Führer and the superiors appointed by him until death.

I swear to God Almighty that I will always be loyal to the Croatian state and its authorized representative, the Poglavnik, that I will always protect the interests of the Croatian people and that I will always respect the constitution and laws of the Croatian people."

So read yourself dear “Bosniaks” : your grandfathers swear to the Croatian state, the Poglavnik Dr. Ante Pavelić and to the Croatian people which they were a part of!
